Founded in 2017 by Janet K. Stormes, Learning on the Verge combines over two decades of federal budgeting expertise with a passion for creativity. We provide dynamic training and consulting services designed to empower both organizations and individuals to achieve their strategic and creative potential.

Meet Janet K. Stormes

Janet’s 24-year career in federal budgeting includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for a federal agency and seven years as professional staff on the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations. She has also taught hundreds of professionals on topics ranging from federal budgeting and strategic planning to creative thinking.

Beyond her financial expertise, Janet has over 40 years of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She co-founded a modern dance company and holds degrees in Creativity Studies, Public Administration, International Relations, and Dance. Her approach integrates strategic processes with creativity to enhance organizational outcomes and personal growth.
